BTL Emsella™  (AKA: THE KEGEL THRONE)

A BREAKTHROUGH TREATMENT FOR INCONTINENCE AND CONFIDENCE

Over 200 million men and women worldwide are affected by incontinence and only half of them seek help.  With EMSELLA, treating incontinence has never been easier.  Incontinence, or inadvertent urine loss, is an enormous problem affecting over 25 million Americans, mostly women. Many are frustrated with traditional methods – pads, Kegels, etc. The fear of embarrassing urine leakage keeps women from being out in public, traveling, or dating. The need to wear a pad or a diaper at all times is humiliating and degrading. It is difficult to feel confident in any situation when you are worried about wetting your pants.

Flexible scheduling available after 5 pm and weekends.

Improvement in sexual function

Because the muscle bundle that is being strengthened is the group of muscles involved in orgasm and vaginal tightness, sexual function is enhanced, and orgasms are stronger after Emsella treatment.

Tired of The “Got To Go” Feeling?

Pelvic floor muscles are the layer of muscles that support the pelvic organs and span the bottom of the pelvis. Strong pelvic floor muscles give you control over your bladder and bowel. Weakened pelvic floor muscles mean your internal organs are not fully supported and you may have difficulty controlling the release of urine.

Emsella works by emitting High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic technology (HIFEM) to cause deep pelvic floor muscle stimulation. The treatments improve control of the pelvic floor muscles and bladder. Internal Medicine Partners is one of the first medical practices to offer this breakthrough treatment in the area. During treatment, patients remain fully clothed and simply sit down on the chair shaped device for 28-minute sessions. The treatment is non-invasive and patients have reported little to no discomfort during treatment sessions. A single 28-minute session is equivalent to 11,000 kegels! (Pelvic contractions).

Aging, childbirth, and menopause can lead to incontinence.  EMSELLA is a treatment chair that sends powerful, effective contractions through the pelvic floor to strengthen both muscles and the bladder.

We are accepting CareCredit for all Emsella treatments!

FAQ'S

Am I a Candidate?

BTL EMSELLA is a great option for women and men of any age who desire solution for urinary incontinence and improvement in their quality of life.

What Is The Treatment Time?

Your provider will tailor a treatment plan for you. A typical treatment takes about 30 minutes and you will need about 6 sessions, scheduled twice a week.

What Does It Feel Like?

You will experience tingling and pelvic floor muscle contractions during the procedure. You may resume daily activities immediately after the treatment.

How Fast Will I See Results?

You may observe improvement after a single session. The results will typically continue to improve over the next few weeks.

I leak when I workout. Am I a good candidate?

We have treated moms who do crossfit or gym workouts who leak as they progress through their workouts. These women are in good shape. With Emsella, they were able to achieve supramaximal contractions that significantly improved or cured their leakage. No matter how hard you work out, you cannot get the same sort of muscle contraction that Emsella can achieve.

I have had kids and now leak. Is Emsella a good choice for me?

We cannot guarantee Emsella will work for everyone. We cannot guarantee surgery will work for everyone. However, after a vaginal delivery, the pelvic floor undergoes significant stress and leakage can result. Emsella provides the high intensity supramaximal contractions that can revert your pelvic floor back to normal.

I have noticed worsening urgency and incontinence since menopause. Can Emsella help?

Options for leakage with urgency include dietary changes (less coffee and teas!) as well as medication. Most of our patients are frustrated with the thought of life long medication. The medications can be expensive, have side-effects, and are a band-aid for the underlying condition. Studies have shown that the muscles in post-menopausal women can be debilitated. With a full work up, Emsella could be an option.

Does Emsella help incontinence in men?

Emsella is now FDA approved for men. In our experience, we have seen encouraging results. Some men require a liner or small pad for small amounts of leakage after radical prostatectomy. These men may leak during a heavy work out or towards the end of the day. Emsella has helped most of these men return to continence.
Men who have had radiation and surgery have not seen much improvement, but numbers are limited. Some men have not had surgery, but they have significant urges to always go urinate. The prostate is not a problem for these men. These men have seen good results with Emsella.

Do I need maintenance Emsella treatment?

Studies have shown good results with up to 60% improvement in symptoms. However, we have patients who have been incredibly happy with a monthly plan. One session every month can fit in almost anyone’s busy schedule. Consult with our physicians to see if this might work for you.

Additional positive results include relief of the sensation of pelvic pressure or heaviness, better sexual function due to tighter muscles around the genitals, and stronger orgasms.

Treatment schedule is twice weekly for 3 weeks. Sessions are 28 minutes. No need to fully undress. Come in on your lunch break!
